Camera II and Evaluation

Evaluation

In this exercise I have effectively been able to put opening credits into a space on the frame. But in the second shot the camera was on a tilt which wasn't intended, because of this it has made the frame of the shot look a bit sloppy but other than that I thought I have completed this task to the best of my ability.

Analysis of Social Realism Questionnaire

Analysis

My initial research focus was to do a questionnaire and to find out the target audience for the introduction sequence I am going to film.
The methods I used to gather this information was a questionnaire. I chose to do this method because I feel its a quick and effective way to communicate to your audience. 8 people took part in this questionnaire and there has been a range of different answers as they're different age groups. The validity of my research gives me some relevant information, because very few people knew what social realism is and so this shows the validity of this task which was to find out how many people knew about social realism and what did they know about it. I think the findings from this questionnaire are reliable but to a certain extent. I think this because i didn't get a lot of people to fill out the questionnaire but if i got more people to fill it out my findings would be reliable.

Patterns that have emerged

The patterns that i noticed that emerged from my findings are that Kidulthood and This is England got picked twice. This could indicate that people are interested in the topic of youth and gang violence. This is England is based in the 1980's and is about the gangs in England. I noticed that one person who filled out the questionnaire is 41 and said This is England is a social realism film they have seen. This could show that they can maybe relate to what happened in the 80's as they lived through that era. Kidulthood is based in the present and shows the life of youths in London and how they get involved with violence and gangs. I noticed that 2 people chose Kidulthood as the social realism film they have seen. The age ranged from 17 to 43. This shows that people are interested about the youth culture that is happening now.
